You OK buddy? I saw a reply further down this thread that gives me the impression this is less than a shower thought and more of a genuine fear

I use letsencrypt a lot, if firewalls are an issue I’ll use dns authentication.
If you are struggling and need a quick fix, the free tier of zero ssl will do a similar thing
I used it to get a cert for my printer
I work on service desk.
Nobody knows their password. It’s always a fucking song and dance when I ask them to type it in.
Except of course when they click a phishing link. Then they know every single piece of information required.
Blows my mind
I use Cloudflare tunnels for this very reason, you can protect access to the page behind a login (I use azure AD).
It basically acts like a reverse proxy allowing me access to those local resources without anything being installed on the client computer.
Love me forever for no reason or I’ll burn you for eternity. Also I’m really efficient at killing kids for no reason, it’s part of my plan. You wouldn’t understand.
My HP printer had a hard limit of 16 characters. My password manager generated 20 characters. The login form had no issue accepting 20 characters, which were of course wrong.
Just another reason to not buy HP I guess
HAHA! That makes way more sense! I need to get some sleep!
I’m expecting an update similar to the sugar free gummy bear reviews on Amazon.
Also, 2014 is almost a decade out of date. If it doesn’t kill OP it’ll definitely make them a super hero
Over 26000 years ago if the mirror was placed at the very edge of the milky way. I wonder how many light years away the mirror would have to be to fit the whole image of the galaxy inside it.
I just can’t even begin to get my head around those numbers, I am a tiny insignificant ant.
The amount of success I’ve had with optout@businessdomain.tld is unreal
Gambon’s passing is Trump Approved
I thought the whole reason for the iPhone 15 having usb2.0 was because it’s using last years chip. Last years chip also had a usb 2.0 controller. I don’t understand why everybody’s freaking out about this
Hi,
I’m here today to talk to you about our lord and saviour, Docker.
Do you have a moment to talk about containers?
When my kids have trouble falling asleep, we play a game where I’ll ask them what they want to dream about. I then whisper the words in their ear and place their hand on their ear.
I tell them if they sit up, the dream will fall out of their ear.
Anyway, they’ve never once told me it doesn’t work, so if you want to come round tonight I’ll tuck you in!
I feel personally attacked, but only because you’re right…
Y2K is one of those stories we look back on and think what a silly old load of nonsense. Truth is, if it wasn’t for the countless hours of overtime people put in to making those outdated systems support the date change, it really would have been utter carnage. You saw how crazy things got when we started to run low on toilet paper for a few weeks.
You can still access the mail without the dns entries.
If you used to enter, say for example mail.domain.com in your mail client. That would have pointed to an IP address of a mail server.
Use that IP address instead of the domain name.
I used to do email migration for a web design company and it happened all the time where dns switched before email was migrated.
If your email was hosted by a third party like Google etc then the dns won’t matter.
1: there’s a third party app called MailJerry - I’ve used it before for these types of migrations
2: if you set the mail rules on iCloud.com, the emails will go in to their respective folders at the server level and you won’t need to configure it every time you set up a mail client.
It has never occurred to me to create a wildcard entry for sub domains….
Glad to hear, stay safe out there :-)
