is this good for the Biden campaign guys someone let me know i can’t tell
kind of already answered my question, just wanted to see if current moderators for !modlog were sufficiently active :) thanks for popping in to answer
yep, posted to !modlog@lemmy.world and it immediately made a downturn 🥲
TIL! pinging @Soullioness@lemmy.world to see if they’re active and/or have thoughts.
cuz yeah my most recent callout post went to !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone and a lot of people got really upset at me for being “off topic” 😓 (it was effective btw, yay!)
everyone is kind of giving snarky answers with a couple helpful tidbits in between but the true answer is:
trump is polling well. current polling indicates that trump is doing good enough at what is expected of him, which at the moment is simply running a campaign that will beat the democratic candidate.
people only really start calling for dropping out en masse when polls start to significantly falter because it’s an indication that the candidate is no longer running a competitive campaign.
ah understandable! thanks for sharing your thoughts and hope you can get some rest :)
Hmm it almost seems like you are responding to a different post? I didn’t really say much about timeliness here. :) This is more about corrupt or inappropriate moderation activity.
Nope not really that wouldn’t be good for my health (:
Appreciate the effort in responding, but I count 20 instances that defederate yours, covering several thousand users. That kind of hobbles the functionality of this as a concept. :/
Yeah, I suppose my idea of a decentralized accountability sublemmy would just help make that process a little more efficient.
Obviously it’s still rough and a mess but I think it’s a fair enough decentralized fit-in for Reddit’s centralized moderation authority.
This would be a perfect solution I think, if most major mods and subs weren’t hosted on .world and .ml.
The conflict of interest is real and intense; I have been told directly that certain problematic .world mod activity cannot be addressed because the mods in question are close friends with instance admins.
Thanks for your thoughts :)
These are valid concerns that could certainly prove problematic without further insight. :) Thanks for sharing.
This is a very myopic and hateful comment, man. People died because of poor crowd control (something that happens at non-religious gatherings too, by the way) and your first instinct is to use terms like “stupid” in relation to these people’s religion. In states where religion is a protected attribute, saying something like this aloud to their families would quite literally be considered harrassment and discrimination.
It is not yet clear what led to the crush. Witnesses said the exit was too narrow and when people were leaving, a fierce dust storm led to confusion and panic, causing many people to become trampled.
You are literally a mod here, so I shouldn’t need to quote this at you but:
Community Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
Emphasis mine. Quite disappointed to see this, dude. Come on.
wikipedia has fairly fleshed out histories:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watermelon_stereotype https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fried_chicken_stereotype
not sure why you are getting downvoted.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fried_chicken_stereotype https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watermelon_stereotype
such stereotypes absolutely exist to dehumanize. the other comment about red foods and juneteenth, while not factually false, fully misses the point of OPs question to an embarrassing degree.
edit: i guess to nitpick rather than “a meal imposed by oppressors” you should have said “two foods associated with stereotypes imposed by oppressors.” just to be fair.
genuinely i used to subscribe to the same theory
and then it switched. i think they’re here genuinely. not even sure what happened to change my mind. your mileage may vary? but i get where you are coming from.
i feel like druids, if forced to pick a side, might be on the side favoring protecting nature :)
wait i love this theory and hate it so much it just might be correct
based and the correct choice. it’s just been a new way to dehumanize and it’s never appropriate. just report it if you are genuinely concerned about bot activity, everything else is just nasty.
