So it is a racial slur, thanks for the confirmation
Yes, the notoriously racially homogeneous nation of Russia. Clearly it’s a race thing, and not a nationality thing. And clearly they’re talking about the entire ethnic “russian” population – not the state itself and its leadership.
I didn’t disagree with that part. Doing what you suggested and using the “vape detectors” aren’t mutually exclusive.
Considering they are only harming themselves
Again, we’re talking about actual children. You know: people that have yet to mentally develop to the point where they can make fully informed decisions on everything and sometimes have to be “coerced” by reasonable adults into doing so.
There’s this wild, outlandish idea that kids don’t have the maturity, experience, or impulse control to make informed and rational decisions all the time. Thus we don’t give kids the exact same rights and responsibilities we give to adults – they gradually gain them as they mature and demonstrate they can handle them.
How would you like this installed in your workplace?
Yes, because my workplace staffed entirely by people 21+ is the same thing as a school filled with literal children. Also, for some unknowable reason we don’t have issues with people vaping in the building despite having people that smoke and vape. Couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact none of us are teenagers.
What if [slippery slope]?
You do know that’s a fallacy, right?
… good?
Everyone (even kids) have a reasonable expectation of privacy, but children using drugs in school isn’t something that falls under that reasonable expectation of privacy.
hormones
As fucked as the poultry industry is, that’s not really a thing for a couple reasons. First is the FDA banned that practice, so in the USA at least you’re not going to find any poultry products where hormones or steroids are used – “hormone/steroid free!” is marketing BS stating they’re not doing something illegal.
Second: we’ve selectively bred chickens (broilers) that grow so freakishly fast and big you don’t need to give them hormones or steroids – their bodies naturally produce excessive amounts. These are chickens that need their food supply controlled because they will literally eat themselves to death if allowed to. They grow so large and quickly it’s common they develop leg issues leaving them immobile, and most will “naturally” start to die of heart attacks if they aren’t killed after 8 weeks.
– But it generally does in developed countries as the majority of people going through the effort of keeping chickens in that environment are into keeping chickens. You might get some shitty setups, but the norm is decent quality feed and far less stress than large scale commercial setups.
It’s more of a hobby than a “get rich” scheme.
“Hey, there’s a realistic possibility we’re going to have to deal with Trump winning and increased tariffs. We obviously don’t know if it will happen or not, but let’s make sure we’re prepared.”
Yeah, Trump could win the election … so could Biden. That’s less of a forecast and more “competent business leadership having a disaster plan.”
Surprisingly CNC cutting machines are becoming more common even in places where labor is “cheap”. The technology is becoming affordable and reliable enough to replace even underpaid workers as a “cost saving” measure.
Here’s the garment cutting department at a factory in Pakistan.
Crooks’ political leanings were not immediately clear. Records show Crooks was registered as a Republican voter in Pennsylvania, but federal campaign finance reports also show he gave $15 to a progressive political action committee on Jan. 20, 2021, the day President Joe Biden was sworn into office.
He was also wearing a “Demolition Ranch” t-shirt … which take from that what you will.
Cold fucking War
Czar of Russia
The Czar wasn’t around during the Cold War for … reasons.
Late teens, maybe early 20s.
How close am I?
“I don’t have anything to hide because I think I’ve done something wrong: I have something to hide because I question your judgement and motives.”
They’re fine giving you their info because they trust you. The problem is when the person seeking that information is untrustworthy – and some shithead(s) making their way into a company or government isn’t just possible, it’s likely.
Tell them to give all their sensitive personal information to someone that hates them. Credit card numbers, political beliefs, nudes, sexual preferences/fetishes, etc.
That saying holds more truth if you’re using the “non-political” definitions of conservative – i.e. moderate, cautious, or resistant to change.
Moreso “set in your ways” as the world changes around you.
curved … swords?
I agree that there’s a lot of direct trolling online, but I wouldn’t discount the number of “useful idiots”.
Remember Q-anon? The core of that entire “movement” was a handful of people on an obscure website steering discourse and pumping out conspiracy theories to a few hundred dedicated direct followers. That audience served as both a testbed for ideas and a free “localization service” – they’d take an unpolished core idea and through discourse transform it into something marketable for wider consumption. Said followers obscure the source of the messaging, amplify it, spread it to traditional social media / the real world, “fight” dissidents, etc.
Those “useful idiots” are a fundamental part of an efficient, cost effective, and successful disinformation campaign.

Yeah, the majority of them aren’t “bots”. It’s mostly people acting as useful idiots, parroting talking points put forth by Kremlin backed trolls. The shit reeks of 2018’s totally organic “Walk Away” movement – the arguments and slogans practically rhyme.
I don’t like the “bots” thing either since it’s inaccurate to what’s actually going on, but at the same time I don’t know a concise way to call out pretty obvious Russian state backed AstroTurfing.
One: that comment you deleted where you put the dollar sign ($) in the wrong spot – nobody does that.
Two: your “American English” (while excellent) sounds … off, when read aloud.
Three: you can read the following Shibboleth aloud and you’ll have no idea what it means:
