Yeah, the themeing is there. But you can easily uninstall it and other core CachyOS-packages, they’re just packages after all. (I’ve done it)

The other way would be to start with Arch and add CachyOS repositories, that way you can also profit from the v3/v4 packages.

This repository benefits from the knowledge and research provided by arkenfox, their documentation was vital to this revamp, so special thanks to their project. We do not use arkenfox’s user.js but we try to keep up with it, and we also consider it a great resource for users who want to find their own setup.

I did not recommend to block the trailer for them but to have the suggestion of using blocks in front of the wheels to be enough in the conversation about that trailer being in danger of rolling away.

I take offense they are called “alcohol FREE”. That’s just false advertisement, whatever is in the fineprint.

Read the comments in this post. They are worded like “yeah, I like to have a beer sometimes, but without alcohol, so I chose an “alkoholfrei” beer”. When they, in fact, are drinking an alcoholic brewage, still.

“alcohol free” is not free of alcohol but can contain up to 0.5% alcohol.

This could be fatal for people having had an alcohol addition because that sets them right back into the circle of drug abuse.

I disagree. Telling the students there are three states of matter is just wrong and they have all the right to point it out. They keep that information for decades if not corrected/challenged and will give non true statements to others, their children, etc.

What the teacher instead should have said could may be: “There are many states of matter, currently we know of (amount). The most common however are these three: solid, liquid and gas. Maybe you will encounter a fourth: plasma. The others form in very specific situations that are very outside of our everyday life. You can look them up if you want to know more. But for this class, we only focus on the three most common.”

Everything is correct, everything is clear. The scope has been set. Teacher still looks knowlegdeable and reliable. And most importantly: does not lie, tell false facts, he provides options for individual interests and builds trust and does not offer himself for attacks on his position by misusing the trust of the students by telling them factually false content.

Relying on groveling students is morally very bad as that’s no relationship based on trust and respect for the pupils and can easily be challenged, like in this example. You would only be offering yourself for failure and risk your “dethroning”, which is a bad foundation to build on from the beginning.

Depending on class structure another way could be to include the students and have the whole class collect the states of matter they know of. That way the “plasma” ones could shine and get heard. That way you will probably get to the common 4 but maaaybe someone heard of the BE condensat, which would be extremely cool and impressive. Wrap it up with “Great work everyone! Actually, we currently know of (amount) different states, insane, right? For this class we will focus ourselves on…” That gives bonus points for teamplay and class strengthening.

Why has been explained below, different drives have different capabilities regarding read buffer, error correction, etc.

There are (were) very large comparison sheets and articles where different drives and manufacturers have been compared with each other.

I chose my external USB CD-drive on the premise I could flash custom firmware to it so to keep the option of new features and enhances functionality, in case someone would do this. Like how OpenWRT came to be.

If you want to enhance the ripping quality or consistency even more you can try the program “Exact Audio Copy” (EAC) or any other sophisticated CD grabber software. It is already around for aaages, that should give you an idea how tricked out specialized software was already decades ago.
