I work in security, and I’ve seen a lot more EDR killers lately. Every incident I’ve seen regarding ransomware or potential ransomware has used EDR killers while compromising DCs, backup servers, file servers, and the odd workstation used for persistence.

If he is only ranting politics, he might not have anyone to talk politics with. Maybe he is the lone conservative, lapping up every scrap of talking points from Fox (or maybe Newsmax), but can’t spew them out around family who sees him as being crazy for watching Fox. If you aren’t pushing back, he probably sees you as safe, and if he is finding it hard for him to deal with political stressors, that’s probably why he is ranting and getting so emotional.

This is why I did a “walkthrough test” when I had to write documentation on this sort of thing. I’m a terrible technical writer, so this shit is necessary for me.

Representative democracy’s flaw is that representatives have little accountability. A bad actor has 2-6 years to do whatever they want. Enrich themselves, their friends, benefit a company that will give them an extremely cushy consultancy role when they leave the government, enact deeply unpopular laws, etc.

When you consider other things like the fact that representatives (at least in the us) are usually from a political class that has nothing in common with the working man, the fact they are almost never minoritized demographics, and they never see their constituents face to face until its time to hit the campaign trail, it’s no surprise they don’t value your interests until its time to demand your vote come November.

I work in Cybersecurity, and although I loathe windows, I love the enterprise tier solutions microsoft has. Azure AD is great for management, it has useful federation features, and having centralized logins is useful during incidents.

Their DLP suite is phenomenal too. O365 logs integrate their platforms together in a convenient way.

But windows 11? Windows server? Practically anything else they touch (fuck azure cloud) is Disgusting. I’d rather throw my hard drive out the window and use a ancient drive with temple os than use windows 11
