It was initially a pwa, but now it is a full and proper app, even available on Google play now!
I believe it can still be used as a pwa though.

Exactly. When discord updated their mobile UI everyone immediately hated it cuz different. There were legitimately some poor decisions made, but then they went and reverted like half of it after people had started to get used to it. For example, I got used to and liked where they moved dms to and they reverted it back, but kept having to tap on the name of a channel to view the users in it instead of just swiping left.
Edit: and I’m also now used to the bad things they kept.
Thanks, I laughed at it and tried to upvote before realizing it was a screenshot lol
Well yea, the solution is buying that hardware. Which should be pretty damn easy.
I’m pretty sure the compression is amplitude compression, just making it quieter not data compression. All the audio information will remain, just volume changed
Android does not mean Google necessarily.
Oh nice then! Will update my comment
I personally use DarkReader, it’s not foss afaik but works well and is decent about userdata from what I’ve seen. There are likely better options out there tho that I just haven’t found
Turns out it actually is FOSS and it’s pretty good!
Depends on the university but for mine in particular discord is the primary communication method for clubs, and also friends to a certain extent. I think discord is decent for privacy but I don’t fully know, what I do is have my publicly visible profile be pretty anonymous and not tied to me.really at all, but then you can make server-specific profile names with your real name.
I’ll admit I’m not the most privacy-oriented person, I try for a somewhat decent level of privacy (using Firefox+unlock, bitwarden, signal for family chat, a few other things) but also do have Snapchat for instance, which is one of the worse things I do. This does remind me tho that I should try and convince my roommates to use signal instead of SMS because they have iPhones and I’m android so it’s kinda awful for anything but text
Not the commenter but I’m using Voyager
Oh has he talked about Lemmy? I watch some of this stuff sometimes, haven’t seen that I don’t think tho. I’m mostly herr because I didn’t like what reddit was doing even though I used the official app the whole time
Also wagon wheel on pixel 7
o((▽))o
(⁀ᗢ⁀)
It’s a bit more convenient than the Gboard text faces like I did with the first one, and although there are less in the app than the keyboard ones they are better on average.
Also the other editor additions are great!
Yeah I don’t think anything Voyager can do about it while still being a PWA. Might be a browser thing too though
I’m not sure, I swear I’ve both seen such a link work in Voyager and also that that is the way to do it. I’m not entirely sure, maybe by doing the link notation? Gonna try it real quick
Heres the proper redirect link
Yeah I was kinda guessing it was a browser difference. If you can’t find a browser or device setting and really can’t stand it you can just switch to Firefox or some other browser.
I don’t have haptic feedback from Voyager on Android either, im using Firefox. I would guess there might be somewhere in the browser settings, or in device settings to turn off all haptic feedback.
Maybe ecchi wouldnt be the name of it, perhaps lewd or something. I think the idea is to have a lower level of still being somewhat sexual, but not necessarily full on nudity/sex or violence. Pretty sure they just said ecchi because of the relatively well understood distinction between hentai and ecchi in that
teamrealm of things.
