It’s kind of funny, because in other languages it doesn’t use this distinction and people don’t eat poisonous mushrooms because someone called them venomous by accident, or the other way around with a venomous animal.

In German venomous and poisonous is the same word. It absolutely does work.
Aside of the obvious meme joke. Well, language eveolves, maybe the distinction isn’t that important any more. Other languages don’t have it and usually you add more context to something. Also when was the last time you tried to eat an unknown animal? Or where in a situation, where you had to decide if the dangerous looking animal is only supposed to be uneatable instead of venomous?
It causes people to wander off as they think theres not enough interactions compared to other social media. The first comment you linked shows only 141 points to me.
Yeah. It’s the advantage but also disadvantage of the Fediverse. If you’re on the wrong instance you won’t even notice that certain ideologies are right out blocked by the instance owner. This can go into all political directions. You wouldn’t even notice this happening unless you do research on which instances are blocked by yours.
Some good companies will provide you with paid education, of course it’s in form of a training, to an important topic used in that company.
Movies are way too expensive and make a bad example to say games should be more expensive. Inflation made people have less expandable money for luxury products but games don’t get cheaper for some reason. Movies have become so expensive that people go less and less to the cinema, even in areas where everything is clean, perfect audio and nice seats. Streaming might be cheaper but most can’t use an expensive bass sound system at home, so that’s not it.
Games have become to ambitious and that’s the publishers fault all alone. Now they try to convince everyone to pay more for games instead of stopping their miss management and you walk right into this trap.
So sandbox games become almost free and big blockbuster games with 5 million lines of dialogue and AAA graphics cost 3k?
Maybe it’s just too expensive? I don’t see myself pay 18 bucks for a little indie game with quick repetitiv gameplay. Of course it was work to create the game, but I can’t tell how long it is or how long I’d play it, before I get bored by the gameplay. Should’ve gone with 10 bucks.
Robber runs away laughing

Is there a chance Valve did this on purpose? An NDA isn’t anything new, but they didn’t have people sign any and a simple in game notice, to not share information, is pretty much the same, as telling people to not think about a purple elephant, the second you mention it. Marketing is everything these days and all I see is a ton of news and people talking about this game. You almost couldn’t have done it any better way.
Fucking idiot Faeser again. She’s a walking faux pa, a walking traffic accident. She does so much shit every day, that just reading her name makes me puke a little. If her bullshit wouldn’t have so big consequence one could just ignore this dumb cow. The day she gets kicked out of every political position I’ll party.
And yes I’m aware of what I said is rude and I look like an idiot too, but she is one of the few except where I feel no holding back.
Downvotes are one of the most important indicator if a post is trolling or nonsense. If it only shows the total, you lose all sense of perspective. A post could have 2 upvotes and 1 downvote or 10000 upvotes and 9999 downvoted, this massively changes the context of a post. Also why should I not use a vote to say I disagreed with something? I don’t always want to write a detailed explanation, especially not when people reply with “did an AI write this?” or simply ignore what I said. Most cases are not like your comment where there’s a valid reason to explain something.
We know all your kinks now
Even on github they are public. Lol
Yup. Host your own instance and you could even write a browser plugin to make them visible to every user.
I don’t want votes to be public, but they already are, so.
Someone can easily host a website to leak this information and people should know, instead of believing they are private
Now I’m disappointed
Makes me doubt the whole chart. Who is using this ever?
