“You can’t spare one square!?”
“You can’t spare one square!?”
Given the root of the problem is “religion” this may not be as simple as we want it to be.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange won the right to challenge a British court’s decision to extradite him to the U.S. to face espionage charges
Emphasis mine, since the headline is poorly worded. He didn’t win an appeal, the court agreed that he can appeal. He still could be shipped off to the US and then eventually <blacksite prison name not found>.
Watching the GN video was insane because I had that exact same experience with ASUS 10 years ago. Back when they made the Nexus 7. I had to RMA 3 of those dam things and each time I had to go through that song and dance with the RMA forms. I think when the 4th one failed I just gave up, recycled it, and moved on from this company as a whole.
Looks like nothing’s changed, which means this way of treating their customers is endemic at this point. They’re a lost cause.
LTT has social media accounts everywhere. They could’ve uploaded to floatplane and posted that link instead.
Not that I blame him for using YouTube but it’s the same chicken and egg problem we’ve had for awhile. No one uses alternatives because the creators aren’t there, and they’re not there because viewers aren’t either.
There’s plenty of games that require deep and extensive thought. I just wanna jump on turtles and fix this spaceship before I get tossed out of the airlock.
Criticism is definitely warranted, but Apple’s not the kind of company that shows how the sausage is made beyond whitepapers. I wouldn’t expect much follow-up is all I’m saying. If seeing the code is important, Apple is the wrong company for you.

All today’s fix confirms that this bug did exist, it was a problem, and it had something to do with database corruption. And by ignoring requests to comment publicly on the matter, it doesn’t impart confidence that this won’t happen again.
99.9% of Apple customers wouldn’t understand it if they explained this in any more detail. And they’re not gonna tempt fate by saying something stupid like “we guarantee this is fixed forever”. I get where this reporter is coming from but she should probably accept that this explanation is the last thing Apple will say about it.

It’s unchecked because customers don’t really care. When is the last time there was a boycott of a game due to how the developers are treated?
I’ve used it for years via RetroPie so hopefully I can copy over all my existing saves and just keep going!
I’m just looking forward to JerryRigEverything snapping this in half like a cracker and then the whole internet exploding in anger over his video.
He’s commenting on bad reporting, and in particular a confusion that no one in this thread here seems to be making.
You got any kind of source on that extra 10k of unidentified bodies? That’s a big number to just throw around.
At the end of the day I don’t think this really changes the conversation substantially (if at all), but it’s always important to ensure the right facts are out there for discussion
It’s about the UX. The hardware can do it but they don’t want to simply port macOS to a device it was never designed for.
Instead they’re just going to keep adding things to iPadOS over time until it’s the same. It’s just that they’re taking way too long to get there.
“Also yes, it vibrates”
To be fair, the amount of things being held exclusive is really growing recently. I finally gave up on paying for TV to watch sports because every league wants to have their own subscribers and are blacking out more and more games. Can’t watch NBA games live on YouTubeTV, have to pay an extra $20 if I want to watch the local basketball and baseball teams through their own app.
I’m done trying. I’m just gonna pirate the streams or go watch at a bar.
… welp = “it’s over, make peace with your god”
