Can’t argue with that one lol
What makes you think he hasn’t already been given the favor years or decades ago and how he’s the one repaying it and he’ll get nothing in return?
The only way this would be conceivable is if FSD actually worked, the robot works and change everything we know, or spacex is sending hundreds of ships to Mars each window.
Doesn’t seem possible, nor do I think solving only 1 of the above makes it possible.
Edit: or we wait long enough for inflation to make today’s assets at a future inflated value be worth that much without losing any of it in the meantime…
The satellites may be carrying starshields on them which are national security modules with the DoD. Shooting down the wrong satellite would be attacking US national defense infrastructure.
Nevermind starshields are whole DoD satellites.
I think when I read this, I replaced starshield with starlink
the ability to put a wide variety of instruments on the Starshield satellite bus
All these LEO satellites are so low it would only cause trouble for less than 5 years. That’s part of why they are low.
If we ever had something as dense as starlink 500km higher though that’d be a different story.
TIL, thanks.
If it’s a post disease treatment isn’t it just a cure vs a vaccine then?
You left off the part where they planted even more trees to compensate but also planted them to be not farmed, with biodiversity vs the monoculture farm.
They’re going to end up on the front lines
Hopefully the Ukrainian military thought this all through in advance and had a good idea of where those reinforcements will come from, and have some surprises in store for them.
Sinai in the Yom-Kippur
I think that seems reasonable fair to count?
Edit: US Gov was convinced in '75 but that’s only by the point they were convinced, and its quite possible it was prior.
Edit: just reading more, but this was a pretty cool event from the war
The Egyptian Army put great effort into finding a quick and effective way of breaching the Israeli defenses. The Israelis had built large 18-metre (59 foot) high sand walls with a 60-degree slope and reinforced with concrete at the water line. Egyptian engineers initially experimented with explosive charges and bulldozers to clear the obstacles, before a junior officer proposed using high pressure water cannons. The idea was tested and found to be a sound one, and several high pressure water cannons were imported from Britain and East Germany. The water cannons effectively breached the sand walls using water from the canal.
Serious question: was Israel really occupied at any point in time during, this or past, post maybe nuclear power times?
I don’t think a short term raid that’s immediately repelled necessarily counts as occupation in this sense.
My Israel history is also very limited
that wouldn’t even make sense since the glass was never “bulletproof” and if you’re gonna hit him in the face, you gotta go through the glass.
It let’s you require both?
It looks like it’s pin and optional fingerprint, not pin and fingerprint for me? On Android
This is why I always turn it off in airports though.
Just in addition to my other reply… that was assuming it’s not a government agency.
The police can just force you to do it, but they can’t force a password.
Everyone using a passkey and biometrics on their hardware is law enforcements wet dream.
Edit: Including border security where you have less rights.
It’s just much weaker than a password and passkey / security key.
Something you are can easily be taken from you. (Edit: eg lifting fingerprints can unlock things)
Something you know is harder and would escalate a situation if forced substantially.
It could be your phone or computer as well, they don’t have to be in a password manager.
And that’s often going to be the default people use.
Now it’s just your face or fingerprint, both of which are easier to bypass if it’s targeted.
I highly dislike the idea of a passkey replacing a password as it means you’ve lost the something you know and replace it only with something you have.
Passwords AND passkeys together sound great.
WTF
