He might be legally pseudo protected by twitch having minimum age requirements.
Unless it was a few very specific US states, this isn’t really relevant. The minimum age to sign up for an account on Twitch is 13.

The comment is far less calm than you would have us believe. I think it just resonated with your own frustrations. That doesn’t make it good in any way.
There’s nothing that’s bestof material here.
The user above is wrong. Blocking is only one-directional and you won’t see comments and posts from them any longer, but they still see the things you posts.
I’ve tried Google’s suggestion of water/vinegar and a bit of dish soap in a bottle, but they don’t seem to go for it at all.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought this method was only geared for fruit flies, not houseflys.
Flypaper strips can be effective depending on the severity and location of the issue and are fairly cheap. It won’t be 100% effective, but it might help. Just be very careful about where you place it if you have any pets or children.
I have that exact same hat. It pains me to say that your dog looks better in it than me.
This is highly inaccurate. The mathematician isn’t even wearing a bowtie.
I definitely thought this was referring to Columbia University until I read the article 😅
I played the game a lot as a wee lad, but I genuinely cannot fathom how people still play GMS these days. Every few years I’ll play for a few weeks on a private server for nostalgias sake. I’m quickly reminded why I stopped playing in the first place though.
I’m very surprised that this game can pull in a viewership of 20,000 people, even if it is a huge achievement event.
It’s weird how true this is. Complex Analysis was a little weird conceptually sometimes, but it made sense once you wrap your head around the complex plane structure. Proofs in Real Analysis felt like they were basically just gibberish created to support the existing calculus.
There was potential legislation and a lot of congressional probes in the mid-late 2000’s in the US that essentially forced cellular carriers to publicly admit that it cost next to nothing on their end to send SMS messages(like 10-7¢ per message) yet they charged insane premiums for them of 20¢ per message. This ended up being the catalyst for US carriers dropping most SMS charges to stay competitive while the rest of the world just changed over to alternate messaging services to avoid the fees instead like you said.
Well at least it’s clear you only want to know this so you can troll, I’m sorry, I mean “avoid censorship.”
I’m glad it works for you, but I always hated getting to work very sweaty and then being smelly for the rest of the day when I biked.
I go to great lengths to not use Amazon but in the US, unless you live in a large urban area Amazon and Walmart have systematically run most smaller, neighborhood retailers out of business already. If I wanted to go to a bookstore that wasn’t a Barnes and Noble, I would need to drive about an hour and a half.
I used to really love music discovery on Spotify. I now find it’s the same ald songs over and over. It finds what you like and reinforces that rather than gradually expand it.
I’m in the same boat. For years now it’s felt like every daily mix and discovery playlist is 10 songs I recently just listened to on repeat and then 2 songs that aren’t even tangentially related and I’m left questioning why they were being shown to me.
It’s a pretty common expectation at this point for a Netflix show to be cancelled after its first or second season despite performing well. They also combined storylines from books 2 and 3 into episodes for the first season. Personally I didn’t think it would be more than two seasons.
I wish Netflix would get the rights and produce new seasons of the animated series.
Absolutely not. I have no trust in Netflix producers to not ruin anything they touch. The live action wasn’t as bad as the movie adaptation, but they neutered pretty much everything that made the original series great.
I’ve recently started wondering how many people are here because they’re too toxic for regular social media rather than because they want to be here.
This has largely been my operating assumption as well since day one when I came over during the Reddit API lockdown. I was fairly active on a NSFW alt up until recently and I’ve actually seen dozens of comments from new users mentioning that the only reason they were here on Lemmy was because they were banned from Reddit and had no other viable options. They were always an asshole to the posters and the reality is that with a lower population of users is that there aren’t enough other voices to drown out these people yet and you end up with a feedback loop of toxicity.
I always considered Birth by Sleep to be the last good entry to the series. Admittedly I never played the actual game of 358/2 and only got the cinematic version from the collection.
I was a massive fan of 1 and 2 as a kid and did a full series playthrough prior to the release of 3. I had a blast through BBS, but my god it was a slough in the later games(including 3).
