We knew this was coming, we knew if we didn’t stop pumping CO2 into our atmosphere we would have to mitigate a lot of the damage at much greater cost and yet here we having increased the rate at which we increase CO2 into the atmosphere to now a whopping 3.3 ppm annually and we have spent nothing on mitigation. Honestly it feels like our governments just chose we were all going to die and were fine with it.

We don’t actually need new laws. There are already existing mechanisms for holding the directors of companies criminally responsible for damage and death they cause. Its not new laws we need its the existing ones enforced and done so not just against the water companies but any company that is harming the environment and people or committing other criminal acts.

People have been repeatedly told not to go near this group. Its the age old story where “modern man” meets indigenous tribe and kills a bunch of them with disease and they now consider us at war. We need to leave these people alone.

AMD has unfortunately a long history of abandoning products before its reasonable on its graphics division. Its not really acceptable, up until earlier this year my NAS/server was running a 3600 and its only for power saving purposes I changed that as its still a very workable CPU in that role.

Wikipedia has always done weird and often inconsistent things around the evidence allowed and sufficient to support statements in its articles so its not a new issue.

So far we have had between 4 and 6 waves a year, each of which is from a different variant. A variant breaks out and within 2 months its infected almost everyone at which point it dies down to become part of the background infections and a new variant takes over. There just isn’t enough time to make a vaccine and roll it out to deal with any of that problem. The vaccines that are getting rolled out now are for variant that disappeared 6 months ago. Nothing we do is going to be very effective against this until the vaccines are a lot more effective against potential future variants or we drastically reduce the number of hosts it gets to replicate in.

Covid happily spreads outside. A number of the early pandemic super spreader events were outside like football matches. There was a confirmed transmission in Japan over 80metres from an infected jogger to a group standing quite far away so we know it’s airborne and highly contagious even outside. Outside can be quite acidic due to pollution and this helps the virus survive as do particles in the air so there is a balance between the density indoors verses degradation conditions, it’s a complex picture in the research.

Basic rule, Covid spreads outside since it’s airborne and it can persist in the air for at least an hour. UV light can degrade it faster but it also only takes 7 virons to infect someone and we breath out 1000 with each breath.

He has clearly been inciting the riots online. Treat him like all the other instigators of this and put out an arrest warrant for terrorism. He should stand in a court room and answer for his actions like everyone else, the billions shouldn’t mean he gets to talk to parliament first.

Nope, even those who had no symptoms at all are showing signs in very high numbers. None of these issues is turning up in 100% of people, but there is no study doing all the tests found on everyone so not everyone looses brain size and gets organ damage but it could be an either and we wouldn’t know. Nothing so far suggests there is anyone immune to this damage.

There is a big difference between what science knows about this disease and what the mainstream media and governments are presenting about it, a giant gulf.

Covid attacking the frontal lobe of every human being on the planet twice a year doesn’t help the situation, the average person has lost 10 IQ points from brain shrinkage already.

We knew this before the election because there were press releases about the hole and lots of places were talking about it. What was beyond ridiculous was how the top two parties were completely ignoring it as if it hadn’t been released and that somehow their “fiscal plans” were somehow still valid.

It seems we swapped one set of liars for a slightly less bad set of liars. Its the Conservatives fault the hole exists and they lied about it, but Labour also knew it existed through the election period and ignored it too and then “surprise there is a hole, more austerity must now happen”.

This is actually the normal around the globe. We are kind of told that we look after the frail and disabled and our family but as countless disabled people have been explaining for centuries now this just isn’t the case, its one of the biggest lies ever told about human behaviour. Its shocking that governments are still shocked by this behaviour but it goes to show how deep the propaganda has got into people.

Human beings do not look after the chronically unwell, whether it be from age or otherwise. Almost all close family abandon them, it is abnormal for anyone from someones friends of families to even see them again after about 2 to 3 years. This is the true reality of human behaviour and the disabled have been trying to get this message across for decades and no one is listening.

There are capitalist elements. The Picard family still owns a farm and farm house and pass it down generations. There is still some concept of money being used by humans who are pursing payments for rare and stolen goods. Most of what we see around Starfleet is merit driven people working in starfleet out of self interest but the ships appear to be owned by Starfleet and they seem to have some democractic structure. Since most basic needs are met via replicators it seems they are post scarcity and trips to the doctors seem free but is not really socialism in the sense of people owning the means of production, there doesn’t seem to be much of anything said about how these ships get built and the implication is its a lot of automation but there seem to be a lot of facilities on Earth with people in them like Starfleet academy and in bars. We have no idea how factories work in this world other than on other planets and people work in them.

I don’t think its brilliantly clear, there are a mix of ideologies on display and what makes it hang together is the humans are all behaving well, which isn’t very human nature like at all. People don’t seem to own what they are working with in all cases but they do in some of the smaller settlements so its a bit of a mix dependent on circumstances.

It can power across the circuits its all technically the same electrical connection within a house. These systems are relatively small due to the constraints of a typical standard plug and the amps it can support so they tend to be limited to less than half of the total power on a loop.

These plugin systems are quite interesting, they allow renters for example to get some benefits of Solar without having to make permanent installs. The systems a lot cheaper than a full setup but obviously don’t produce the same amount of power. I first saw them appearing in France and then since Germany changed the law to allow them its good to see it flourishing there too. This isn’t going to save the planet but its a little step of improvement.

400 Euro isn’t bad for all the fittings and inverter and the big benefit of these DIY systems is you just put them together and connect them to a standard wall socket. Constantly just saves you money on your bills when there is sunshine. Its also not enough power that its worth dealing with export tariffs but in countries where smart meters already exist it could be part of the mix.

Having its own descent into fascism. You got two choices in the coming election, both of which are supporting eugenics at home of various disabled and minority groups and funding genocide abroad. You get to choose if you bother to help defend your allies or not.

I don’t think so. There are so many fronts on the war on bigotry and little progress has been made in 100 years. This feels like an innate property of human beings and humans will always be easy to manipulate to make them hate those that look a little different. About the only practical thing that might help is we criminalise bigotry that might damp it down a lot but people will still behave in bigoted ways they can get away with.

I feel like all this effort in a variety of countries will only delay the far right for a short period. The far right will be in charge of a large number of western governments and ultimately be the new world order within a few years and I don’t now see any way to stop that. The French might hold it back this election but unless how they handle the far right changes it will continue to grow and win the next one and no amount of manipulation will change it.
