The Federal Communications Commission today issued a record fine of $299,997,000 against a robocall operation that specialized in auto warranty scam calls, the FCC announced, calling it “the largest illegal robocall operation the agency has ever investigated.”

      I think we’re past jail. If the government won’t do it, maybe we need some civilian justice. I wonder if kneecapping them might help send a message to f*ck off.

        On the one hand, vigilantism is a terrible thing.

        On the other hand, it’s a symptom of a dysfunctional justice system. That root cause must be addressed, and if it’s not then vigilantism is the natural “punishment” for the broken system itself.
