This is a whole-ass article that could be summarized with one sentence:

Factories take time to build so for now we have a construction jobs boom rather than a manufacturing jobs boom.

But if Policio’s writers can’t send 20 paragraphs spinning a natural, obvious process as a Democratic failure they don’t have a reason to get out of bed in the morning.

Next up, “construction jobs are only temporary!” Yes, and then the factory starts hiring workers.

Then Trump’s gonna win the election by the time they’re built, take credit, then fuck it all up in time for a Democrat to get elected to take the blame.

Agree, though I couldn’t find an alternative article at the moment that put the issue in another light. Tbf the article doesn’t entirely describe it as a total failure, though the headline may give one that impression.

Edit: I should add that I don’t think any of what Biden is accomplishing here is a failure by any means. These solutions take time. The article does go on to explain that.

Robots are key to modern manufacturing you still need support staff but the number of people needed has gone down substantially.

Any new factory can be designed to be run dark its generally too expensive to justify for now.

The only thing both parties seem to agree on is that we need more jobs, which makes me highly suspicious of that notion.

That’s hardly fair. We just saw both parties agree that we should be supporting genocide.

By building factories. Which only provides manufacturing jobs after they are completed.

As has everyone else. But that chip on your shoulder has nothing to do with new builds.

You really aren’t going to make a point here if you are this off topic.
