A lot is happening today with the community migration today, so I will keep this brief:

I beat Tchia. It’s wonderful, but has it’s flaws, mainly combat. I think it deserved the scores it received, and I can’t say enough how much I loved it. If you even remotely are drawn to it, I would highly recommend giving it a play through.

I am about halfway through Uncharted: Lost Legacy and it is really bringing back those Uncharted 4 vibes I wanted it to. Really loving the relationship between Chloe and Nadine and I also find myself marveling at the graphical details.

It’s making the game tedious for me but I’m so far into it I might as well power through at this point. Especially when those drawn out side missions branch out into multiple paths that are just walking to a location and killing random enemies. I’m passing on the next Final Fantasy because of this one.

I felt the same way toward the end of Horizon Forbidden west to be honest. I just stopped caring about the side missions and went back to the main ones and it was all good.

Same. Also Gow Ragnarok. I came up with a term called “And then” gaming for it. “Go way out of the way to get a magical cup for me”, AND THEN go slay this boss, AND THEN, ad nauseum until you’re 3 hours deep into a multi branching side quest that you don’t even care about anything anymore. I couldn’t play the first GOW without my wife watching or it would be a fight but in Ragnarok the endless AND THEN side quests had her scrolling on her phone instead. We didn’t start enjoying the game until I just stopped playing the side stuff. I don’t know why 1st party Sony stuff is doing AND THEN missions to pad the game out but they need to stop.

Heavy “Dude, Where’s my Car?” vibes from this comment lol. (I suspect you get the reference). My wife doesnt really like story driven games anyway. Tetris, Pacman, 2D mario are her jam. recently she likes Overcooked and a bit of sackboy. Her first dabble in a real story driven game has been Hogwarts, but since I’m not playing it without her, it’s been a slow go.
